With 80+ clubs and organizations, 5 fraternities and 7 sororities, campus traditions, and numerous off-campus trips, there is never a dull moment on campus. By getting involved with Student Life and Leadership, students meet lifelong friends, develop personal and professional skills, and make long-lasting memories. Whether it’s applying to be an Orientation Leader, stepping up to be on the executive board of a club, or representing their fellow students on the Student Government Association, students will have many opportunities to grow personally and professionally.

The Office of Student Life and Leadership at Stevenson University inspires students to become leaders. We promote an overall sense of community by providing students with high-impact programs and opportunities. Our office extends learning outside the classroom by empowering and challenging students and by preparing them for life beyond Stevenson.

Commuter Life

Campus life is for all students, whether or not you live on campus. We encourage our commuter students to get involved, attend events, and consider joining the Commuter Student Association to be part of making the commuter experience a great one!

Fraternity & Sorority Life

The Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL) Program at Stevenson University seeks to foster community, integrity, service, and promote brotherhood/sisterhood through its 7 pillars. These pillars are membership & leadership development, unity, service, tradition, academic excellence, network & community engagement, and growth & retention. Campus Programming

Immerse yourself in the full Mustang experience and take part in our students’ favorite campus traditions! With large-scale events like the Annual Founder’s Day Talent Show, Frost Fest, and Food Truck Rally, as well as smaller events like bingo and karaoke nights— and everything in-between! For those seeking to develop their organizational and leadership skills (and have some fun in the process) our student-led Mustang Activities & Programming board (MAP) is always seeking volunteers to assist in the planning and execution of all its events, trips, and programs.

Welcome Week & Student Life Orientation

Welcome Week aims to help new students get connected with each other and to the University through small group discussions, fun social events, and memorable educational sessions. Each freshman and transfer student will be assigned an Orientation Leader who will guide them through Orientation and be a resource for them. Attending all the Welcome Week events is a great way to make friends and memories and ask any questions you have about the Mustang experience before classes begin.

Stevenson develops leaders. By getting involved in a club or organization, taking on a leadership position, and trying new things, students have countless opportunities to grow. Student leaders learn transferrable skills that will help set them apart during their time at Stevenson and in their careers and post-Stevenson plans. The Accounting Association provides accounting students with the opportunity to interact with fellow accounting students and professional accountants. This club provides advice to students seeking employment and helps integrate university coursework and on-the-job experience. Each semester members are encouraged to participate in professional, community service, fundraising, and recreational activities.

Active Minds| activeminds@stevenson.edu
Active Minds is an organization that utilizes peer outreach to increase awareness of mental illnesses to all members of the Stevenson community. The organization sponsors educational and service events that provide a helping hand and a safe environment and are open to all participants. The organization also encourages students to seek help as soon as it is needed and to meet with counselors in the Wellness Center at Stevenson University.

AIGA, Professional Association for Design | alphaphisigmasociety@stevenson.edu
AIGA is a national professional association for designers. The Stevenson University AIGA Student Group, associated with the AIGA Baltimore Chapter, provides opportunities for serious art and design students to meet other students in the major, network with design professionals, and learn more about design technologies through club-sponsored workshops. Major activities include fundraising for students who cannot afford to buy art supplies for school and attending AIGA professional events around Baltimore.

The Alpha Phi Sigma is a criminal justice honor society that provides students with the opportunities to experience an international network of criminal justice employees and students. This organization is a certified member of The Association of College Honor Societies and affiliated with The Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences.

The American Chemical Society helps its members network, explore chemistry career options, and learn about science by participating in local and national American Chemical Society events. The society organizes chapter events, including research seminars, social events, community service, and more.

The Association of Women in Science (AWIS) is here to encourage and support women in any scientific field. AWIS provides opportunities for networking and resources, while discussing current science topics and advocating for women and gender equality. We are welcome to all people in any sort of science major!

Biomedical Engineering Society | bmesociety@stevenson.edu
The Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) Student Chapter at Stevenson University is dedicated to promoting the field of biomedical engineering through learning, discussion, and research. The organization provides students with opportunities to explore topics within the discipline and engage in conversations that enhance their academic and professional development. BMES works to connect students with the broader biomedical engineering community and encourages membership in the national organization. Through its programming, the chapter fosters collaboration, innovation, and a deeper understanding of the impact of biomedical engineering in healthcare and society.

Black M.I.N.D.S (Mentoring and Inspiring New Developments in Psychology) | blackminds@stevenson.edu
A safe space for all students to discuss the topic of Black Psychology. Our events are welcoming and engaging as we aim for meaningful conversations through group discussions, such as the past and present accomplishments of African Americans in the field of psychology. Black M. I. N. D. S. also helps students progress into a career in psychology through networking, providing research opportunities, and fostering assistance to others by participating in fundraisers and donations.

CerTech helps students prepare for tech careers by supporting certification goals like CompTIA. The club offers study groups, exam prep, and hands-on practice to build real-world skills. It also creates a collaborative environment for accountability, shared learning, and balanced exam preparation.

The Criminal Justice Student Association is an organization formed for students planning to work with the law, corrections, or courts. The group hosts events, study time, public speakers, and small group discussions centered on criminal justice as a major and as a career.

Environmental Club is committed to helping create a more sustainable environment for students on campus and in the surrounding areas. Students of all majors will be encouraged to enjoy what nature has to offer both in leisure activities and scientific opportunities. The Club will discuss current events related to our environment as well as create an eager community ready to get involved with volunteer opportunities.

Fashion Apparel & Design (FAD)| FAD@stevenson.edu
The Fashion Club is a student organization that provides Stevenson University students with opportunities to be involved in fashion-driven and fashion-related activities. The club appeals to students at Stevenson University studying in various areas such as fashion merchandising, fashion design, business, business communication, photography, and art. The activities in the Fashion Club will expand students’ knowledge by helping students understand the fashion retail business through activities, workshops, field trips, charities and events.

FMA promotes the knowledge of finance – including financial literacy—and elevates the relationship between finance and business among peers. FMA provides members with professional development resources and opportunities related to finance, while enhancing the quality and relevance of education in finance and provide opportunities for professional interaction.

The FMI Club is a student-run organization with the goal to promote a love of film and filmmaking while celebrating the creative talents of Stevenson University students.

Future Real Estate Leaders | FREAL@stevenson.edu 
The Future Real Estate Leaders Club (FREAL) is a club for students interested in learning about different career paths and investment opportunities in real estate. We offer a variety of activities, such as commercial property tours, guest speakers, and networking opportunities with real estate professionals. Our goal is to help students gain the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in the real estate industry. 

Human Services Club | HSC@stevenson.edu
The Human Services Club parallels strongly with the Human Services major at Stevenson by sponsoring charitable, educational, and social activities on and around campus. Students conduct service projects that benefit needy families, such as donating Christmas gifts to needy children through the Giving Tree Project. HSC also sponsors campus speakers, such as admissions officers from graduate programs in counseling and social work, and representatives from non-profit organizations like Catholic Charities. Social gatherings have included parties as well as recreational field trips.

The Legal Society club goals are to provide and encourage an environment that accommodates: learning, using, and applying the law in our country. We achieve this through various activities like Law and Constitutional day, trips to the center of government (wither state or federal), provide comprehensive mentoring and advise with classes, and facilitate networking between professionals and students through speaker serious and various activities conducted throughout the year.

The Maryland Student Legislature (MSL) educates students about state and local government through a simulation of the Maryland General Assembly, while preparing them for lives of public service. MSL provides practical experience in drafting and debating bills, navigating parliamentary procedure, and understanding the legislative process. These hands-on experiences serve as a foundation for potential careers in government, law, and public service.

Medical Laboratory Student Association | mlsaclub@stevenson.edu
The Medical Laboratory Student Association works to promote Medical Laboratory Science as a major by offering opportunities to collaborate with the Maryland Chapter of the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science, faculty, and clinical partners to hold events and promote the medical laboratory profession. MLSA will also help enhance students’ experience and knowledge by holding professional development lectures and mentoring incoming students about the application process and tips for future classes.

The National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) is an organization that provides a life-changing leadership program that helps students achieve personal growth, career success, and empowers them to have a positive impact in their community. At Stevenson University, our NSLS chapter was founded in 2005, and we continue to grow our chapter each semester. We host speaker broadcasts, social events, perform community service, and host an induction ceremony for our new members each semester! 

National Student Nurses Association (NSNA)| NSNA@stevenson.edu
The Stevenson University chapter of the NSNA is a professional club that focuses on issues of interest to students preparing to join the nursing profession. As members of this national organization, students have the opportunity to network with nursing professionals, meet and plan activities with students from area chapters in Maryland, and enjoy the support and camaraderie of other students in the nursing field. NSNA members are involved in education and service activities locally. Activities include co-sponsorship of a day-long professional conference, social events, and a blood drive. The NSNA is also involved in a variety of fundraising projects to support the many activities they participate in during the year.

Our primary goal is to build a lasting community where students interested in medicine can explore and engage with diverse medical fields. Students can connect with peers, professionals, and alumni while building meaningful networks that support their academic and career journeys. This community also helps students build confidence in their abilities and take the next steps toward their goals.

The Psychology Club gathers to discuss issues related to the field of psychology, such as applying to graduate school, research possibilities, and careers in psychology. The club co-sponsors health awareness events, coordinates volunteer activities in the community, and hosts social activities to increase camaraderie.

Teachers of Tomorrow (TOT) | TOTS@stevenson.edu
The purpose of Teachers of Tomorrow is to promote the inherent rights, education, and well-being of all children, in home, school, and community; to work for desirable conditions, programs, and practices for children from infancy through early adolescence; to raise the standard of preparation for all those actively involved with the care and development of children; and to encourage continuous professional growth of educators. Membership in the Stevenson branch is open to any person affiliated with Stevenson University whose interests are in harmony with the purposes of TOT.

Women in STEM, Tech, and Business | WomenInTechBusinessClub@stevenson.edu 
 At Women in Tech and Business, our mission is to cultivate an inclusive environment that motivates, assists, and fortifies women who are embarking on careers in technology and business. We achieve this through various activities, including interactive workshops, mentorship programs, networking gatherings, and collaborative initiatives. Our members acquire essential skills, perspectives, and networks that will significantly enrich their educational and professional paths. By affiliating with our club, students are presented with new avenues for achievement, the opportunity to forge enduring connections, and the chance to contribute to a movement that advocates for gender equality within the technology and business industries.

100% Triumph is a trans-denominational campus ministry whose mission is to transform the lives of college students through the word of God, so that they can be the light and transform the world. African Student Union is a club that aims to create a community and atmosphere for the members to build, learn more about, and share African culture. Open to all Stevenson University students, ASU is a great place to build friendships, speak freely, and make history.

The Allure Models is a modeling team at Stevenson University that focuses on promoting diversity, body positivity, building confidence, and strengthening leadership skills. No experience is needed—everyone is encouraged to try out and step out of their comfort zone. From small events like Sip and Paints to larger events like our annual Spring showcase, the Allure Models are always ready to shine. One heel, one sound, we are the Allure Models!

ASL Club is a place for everyone! We work to spread basic knowledge of American Sign Language and Deaf Culture. Each meeting, we go over new topics, review, and have fun activities! This club is largely based on collaboration and participation in order to maximize learning.

The Asian American Pacific Islander Student Union (AAPISU) is dedicated to promoting and encouraging appreciation and awareness of Asian culture and its related subcultures. We want to create a welcoming community and space for students of Asian descent and allies while engaging and educating students by creating an ongoing dialogue about cultural identity and heritage.

Our mission is “Leading Students to Christ and preparing them to become reliable men and women that God can entrust with His word for the next generation”. We are a campus ministry that welcomes everyone. Join us as we share the gospel of Jesus Christ through Bible studies and various events.

The Black Student Union promotes racial and ethnic understanding on campus and fosters cultural awareness among the University community through informal discussions, panel presentations, guest speakers, and community service projects. The BSU also hosts one of the most popular traditions on campus, the BSU Fashion Show, every spring. The club is open to all students.

CRU is a non-denominational Christian fellowship group. Students participate include weekly meetings with music, Bible study, and fellowship. The club also sponsors outreach and service projects throughout the year.

The Muslim Student Association (MSA) provides a welcoming space for students to learn about Islamic culture, build community, and engage in meaningful discussions. The organization hosts social, educational, and cultural events that promote understanding, inclusion, and connection across campus.

Organization for Latin American Students (OLAS) | OLAS@stevenson.edu
OLAS was created to serve as a support group for Latin American students where they can embrace and celebrate their culture. The mission of the group is also to educate and inform the Stevenson community about the Latin American culture through educational and social programs, as well as to make contributions to the greater Latin American community throughout the Baltimore area through partnerships with organizations.

Stangs for Reproductive Rights | sfrjclub@stevenson.edu
Stangs for Reproductive Justice is a club centered on the principles of reproductive justice in order to educate and empower the students on campus to make informed decisions about their reproductive health and have true reproductive freedom. Reproductive Justice is a social justice concept created by SisterSong as an intersectional approach to reproductive freedom advocacy, and covers many issues such as period equity, black maternal mortality, comprehensive sex ed, and more.

Students Demand Action is a national organization established for the purpose of organizing students to advocate for sensible gun legislation. Through political engagement such as lobby days, letter writing, and public advocacy initiatives, our mission is to stop gun violence around the country and secure a safer future for students.

The College Republicans club raises awareness about the political process in the United States. In addition, the club fosters meaningful dialogue throughout the campus regarding critical issues occurring in the nation.

SuNaturalls | sunaturalls@stevenson.edu 
The SU NaturALLs Club fosters a community that normalizes natural hair textures, styles and care; with an emphasis on curly, kinky and coily hair textures. Our intent is to empower all of Stevenson University’s naturals, whether they’re an expert or a novice regarding the history and maintenance around their hair. We intend to promote meaningful intercultural conversations in order to establish a stronger sense of community among all cultural backgrounds across campus.

Team ENOUGH is a youth-led initiative supported by Brady United that works to educate young people about gun violence and mobilize them to take meaningful action to prevent it. The group empowers youth voices, engages in advocacy, and promotes intersectional solutions to end gun violence in all its forms.

The purpose of the Q Group is to promote acceptance and support for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, ally, and other students on the campus. The group plans to educate students about the GLBTQA community and encourage a sex-positive environment on the SU campus. The group offers events and activities embracing the GLBTQA students on campus.

The Commuter Student Association represents the interests and needs of the commuting students attending Stevenson University. Through programming events and activities, representing commuters and in their dealings with the University, it is the hope of CSA to help the commuting student become an integral part of the campus community.

Mustang Activities and Programming Board (MAP) | MAP@stevenson.edu
MAP is a programming board that is responsible for bringing free entertainment to campus, including musicians, comedians, speakers, and novelties. This group works with outside entertainment agents to book touring acts for Stevenson’s campuses, including a monthly movie series. All students are welcome to join MAP.

Residence Hall Association is designed to help make living on campus better, safer, and more engaging for students and residents on campus. Our goal is to allow students to voice opinions, comments, and concerns about their current living arrangements while putting all into perspective and working toward change. We aim to provide a safe and welcoming environment and open communication for all residents at Stevenson University.

The Fraternity & Sorority Life Executive Council is recognized by the institution as the principal agent of fraternity and sorority government at Stevenson University, adjacent to but superseding other Greek councils such as College Panhellenic Association, Interfraternity Council, National Pan-Hellenic Council, Multicultural Greek Council, and National Association of Latino Fraternal Association. Inter-fraternity Council (IFC)

Founded nationally in 1918 as the first national fraternity to accept men regardless of their race or religious affiliation, Phi Mu Delta provides a positive fraternity experience for today’s college man, encouraging high personal standards and helping its members live the ideals of our Founders: democracy, brotherhood, and service. Alpha Kappa Alpha is an international service organization founded on the Howard University campus in Washington, D.C., in 1908. It is the oldest Greek-lettered organization established by African-American, college-educated women. Stevenson University’s undergraduate chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Tau Theta, was chartered on April 3, 2011. The Tau Theta chapter made history as the first organization of the National Pan-Hellenic Council established at Stevenson University. Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated was founded on November 12, 1922, at Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana. As the only Divine Nine sorority established at a predominantly white institution, our Seven Pearls overcame barriers with vision, courage, and purpose. Expansion and Recognition

The office of Student Life & Leadership is currently not accepting applications for recognition at this time. Due to the rapid growth of organizations, the office will focus on the growth and retention of current organizations and encourage those interested in Fraternity and Sorority Life to explore the recognized organizations on campus. 

Stevenson University students are not permitted to join organizations at other institutions. Students are only allowed to join an organization recognized at Stevenson. Enactus is an international, service-based club that focuses on using entrepreneurship and business skills to find solutions to on-campus, local, national, and international problems. Students will have the opportunity to collaborate on student-led projects, such as the SU Success Studio where students have access to free professional clothing, participate in volunteer experiences to earn service hours, and engage in fun activities and events throughout the semester.

The First Responders Club (FRC) at Stevenson University is dedicated to providing students with the knowledge and skills needed to respond effectively in emergencies while spreading awareness of emergency services. The FRC is a gateway for students interested in becoming EMTs and/or firefighters, offering opportunities to join the Owings Mills Volunteer Fire Company. With guidance on training programs, certification processes, and volunteer opportunities, the club seeks to inspire the next generation of first responders

Food Recovery Network (FRN) is a student-led movement against food waste and hunger. FRN volunteers package leftover foods from campus marketplaces and transport them to hunger-fighting facilities around the Baltimore area.  All Stevenson University students are welcome to join. This is a great opportunity to receive service hours on campus and make a positive impact in the community.

Our mission is to grow as college students rooted in the virtues of charity and love by constantly putting others before ourselves and trusting and loving one another to become a truly devout community. We serve the most vulnerable by raising awareness and as a way of indirectly giving to the poor communities across South America. The money will cater to the needs of the poor active in Operation Mato Grosso schools, hospitals, orphanages, and more. OMG allows young people to fulfill their innate desire for service and charity.

The Center for Student Life and Leadership: A New Campus Space for Clubs and Organizations

The Center for Student Life and Leadership (CSLL) is a new, dedicated space where students can participate in and contribute to Stevenson’s active campus life. The CSLL offers 8,000-square-feet filled with comfortable furniture, collaborative tools, multifunctional rooms, and offices for student clubs and organizations as well as Student Life and Leadership staff. Beyond collaboration, students can also use the space for focused individual work and study, or to just hang out with friends.

Homecoming Bonfire

The stack of wood pallets quickly catches fire, casting a warm glow on the students, faculty, and staff that come out to celebrate our Stevenson community. The celebration is coupled with hot chocolate and s’mores.

Club & Organization Involvement Fair

At the start of each semester, interested students are invited to learn how to get involved. Attendees can ask representatives from each official club and organization questions about their groups, sign up to attend their next meeting, and more!

NYC Trip

Hosted every December, this bus trip gives students the opportunity to explore and build their own schedule around town. Tickets are first come, first serve; seats are limited!

Food Truck Rally

Once a year, food truck vendors from around the area take over a parking lot and fire up their mobile kitchens. If you want it, they have it; previous vendors have provided unique cupcakes, brick-fire pizza, macaroni grilled cheeses, and more!

Rockland Blowout

During the Spring semester, Student Life and Leadership hosts a major blowout celebration, bringing students together to honor the true purpose of Rockland on the anniversary of its’ opening.
