Admissions 

  • Completed online application.
  • Completion of a bachelor’s degree in nursing from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Current registered nurse’s license in good standing.
  • Official college transcripts from all previous academic work. If the transcripts are from an institution located outside of the United States, students must submit an official course-by-course transcript evaluation from an organization that is a current member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). A member list is available on the NACES website.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in past academic work.
  • Personal statement.
  • One Professional Letter of Recommendation from a current or past supervisor: Recommendation Form

The Cohen Scholars Program

Stevenson University offers scholarship through the Cohen Scholars Programs for individuals interested in obtaining a Nursing Education master’s degree. The Maryland Nurse Support Program II provides funding for Cohen Scholars to complete the graduate degrees (MS, MSN, DNP, PhD, EdD) and core education coursework to become nurse educators, nurse faculty, clinical educators, professional development specialists, nurse residency specialists, or other nurse educators in hospital education roles. Cohen Scholars receive awards ranging up to the sum of all tuition and mandatory fees for courses in the approved nursing plan of study at participating Maryland public and independent colleges and universities. Candidates must apply for the scholarship through Stevenson University.

Nursing Leadership/Management

Stevenson’s master’s in Nursing Leadership/Management provides you with the skills necessary to become an adroit leader in nursing.
